The stupid website says they're "on time" when that's a big fat LIE

I was on a train that was two and a half hours late once, but they lied and said the delay was "only" an hour and 50 minutes so they didn't have to pay compensation.

I've never been on a train before. After 20 years they just restarted the Amtrak "Mardi Gras Express" train that runs back and forth between Mobile, AL and New Orleans.....and my GF has been hinting that she'd like to try it.

It's 4 hours one way, so an 8 hour round trip. My only problem is that I hate Mobile.....and I hate New Orleans.....and I'm not fond of trains, either.

I had a friend from Mobile and she said it's a shithole

LOL. If you're talking about the rotten egg/sulfur smell, I believe that comes from a couple of paper mills just west of the city.
