How come real maple syrup tastes nothing like "maple flavored" things like maple bar donuts or Mrs Butterworths? Is it the carcinogenic caramel color that has that delightful breakfasty flavor? 🤤

We have an abundance of locally produced real maple syrup where I Iive. A few towns over even has an annual Maple festival.

It's usually around $15 at Costco for the same size! So I'll wait til then

I usually stock up at Costco. Our new house doesn't have one close so I am going to do a Costco haul when I visit my mom. It's 3.5 hrs away haha
