@hj @All_bonesJones @coolboymew @lebronjames75 don't forget the """game""" about depression that started the biggest internet slap-fight in history.

@hj @All_bonesJones @lebronjames75 @noyoushutthefuckupdad how could we NOT mention the Mother series
I used to have yearly replays of Earthbound
Maybe I should replay Mother 3

@coolboymew @All_bonesJones @lebronjames75 @noyoushutthefuckupdad i never played Mother series, really. And I will forever call it "Mother series" because the first game i played IS "Mother 3". Never played earthbound nor Mother 1. the only reason i know about series is because of "chimera hunt" or whatever tf2 mod that one youtuber (freuderthreep) made.
I STILL HAVE MY FUCKING SAVEFILE FROM 2011 OR SO of the game and i ntend on finishing what I started.

@hj @All_bonesJones @lebronjames75 @noyoushutthefuckupdad They're all different-ish
Mother 1 is a really advanced NES RPG, almost open world, you can go to places and get party members early even
Mother 2 is one of those almost pseudo-remake, it's a lot like Mother 1 but more solid and has actually kind of a plot, but it follows more the DQ style of storytelling where the bulk of the plot is more about the events that happens rather than the plot itself
Mother 3, which apparently Japan doesn't like it that much, actually ends up to have more cutscene and a bit more of a story focus, on top of the battle system musical gimmick

@hj @All_bonesJones @coolboymew @lebronjames75 Mother 2/Earthbound is fun, and has one of the best final boss fights of all time, but has unfortunately attracted a fanbase of psychos in the past 15 years.
don't bother with Mother 1 unless you REALLY love grinding and want something very similar to the better Mother 2.

@noyoushutthefuckupdad @hj @All_bonesJones @lebronjames75 yes, lots of grinding, but Mother 1 is not the worst actually

mother 3 is pretty good (i still like other rpgs more)
yume nikki has mother 1 sections that I've completely missed (but i got uboa on my first try)

@hj @All_bonesJones @Ree @coolboymew @lebronjames75 Questionable Content is such a shitty comic and even in the 00s it never should have attracted an audience.
@noyoushutthefuckupdad @hj @All_bonesJones @coolboymew @lebronjames75 atmosphere of mother 1 is extremely different than 2 imo, much darker and gives more of a feeling of being lost in the vastness of the world
