@coolboymew @All_bonesJones @lebronjames75 @noyoushutthefuckupdad i never played Mother series, really. And I will forever call it "Mother series" because the first game i played IS "Mother 3". Never played earthbound nor Mother 1. the only reason i know about series is because of "chimera hunt" or whatever tf2 mod that one youtuber (freuderthreep) made.

Mother 1 is a really advanced NES RPG, almost open world, you can go to places and get party members early even
Mother 2 is one of those almost pseudo-remake, it's a lot like Mother 1 but more solid and has actually kind of a plot, but it follows more the DQ style of storytelling where the bulk of the plot is more about the events that happens rather than the plot itself
Mother 3, which apparently Japan doesn't like it that much, actually ends up to have more cutscene and a bit more of a story focus, on top of the battle system musical gimmick
