@vriska @coolboymew no value judgment but its "funny" how 100% of the ban energy was focused on porn platforms that actually catered to adults and had strict controls to prevent real trafficking, far far more effective than the "legitimate porn industry" but an actual giant grooming and trafficking child porn conduit got away completely scot-free.
@vriska @coolboymew @sun
cute books or manga or whatever that include lewd stuff are often "wholesome" and nice

and other end of the spectrum, even "intimate-contact-included" sex work is, in personal experience, not a bad thing for all clients, and surveying across people i've met or read, not bad for all workers either (sometimes that not bad is "i enjoy it sometimes, i hate it sometimes, i get paid money, and in general it's better than the other jobs i could be doing right now
@ageha @vriska @coolboymew can we agree that billion dollar monetizing human suffering industry version of pornography is tautologically bad and leave the debate about if a woman sells vids on her personal website and takes allt he profit herself and isn't coerced (how often does this really happen though) might be okay or might have systemic consequences as a separaet debaet
@ageha @vriska @coolboymew there is definitely systemic social risk to making it a multibillion dollar industry. personally I have no problem with people selling sex or sex videos/pictures if they're not coerced but there are specific problems with extremely large sex industry and more general coercion into labor problems with capitalism proper
