21@coolboymew when they banned porn all of the insane people left and now its perfect
@sun @coolboymew unlike every other social platform listed, tumblr self policed that. There was no "pedi" on tumblr and twitter is child porn central. the tumblr porn ban was to appease advertisers. The company did lose like95% of its value
@sun @coolboymew my point is that even before a blanket ban we were murdering those people and running them off. More effectively than anyone has ever done it. Like I said, internet porn is inherently immoral
@sun @coolboymew my only interaction with that was joining large campaigns to mass repprt/suicide bait the perpetrators tbh
@sun @coolboymew and what it really tells me is that banning porn is unequivocally good
"ban porn" is like, and bad in the same ways as, "ban drugs" (perspective of asexual who doesn't substances heh
@ageha @coolboymew @sun I'm not necessarily saying it should be blanket illegal but if I had a website I would ban it. To me it's pretty much the same thing as banning factory farms and meat consumption. It's a net positive in theory but impossible in practice
@ageha @coolboymew @sun not good for the people on meth in barely legal gangrape video
cute books or manga or whatever that include lewd stuff are often "wholesome" and nice
and other end of the spectrum, even "intimate-contact-included" sex work is, in personal experience, not a bad thing for all clients, and surveying across people i've met or read, not bad for all workers either (sometimes that not bad is "i enjoy it sometimes, i hate it sometimes, i get paid money, and in general it's better than the other jobs i could be doing right now
