@Dudebro @egirlyuumimain @CobaltSasquatch @weknowwhygary @WandererUber @Hoss That's always been my dream ..
@Dudebro @egirlyuumimain @CobaltSasquatch @weknowwhygary @WandererUber @Hoss But thanks to Nixon, America's thorium tech still looks like this instead of something ya could throw in a truck..
@CobaltSasquatch @Hoss @Dudebro @weknowwhygary @WandererUber @egirlyuumimain Aye, He had a lot of great aspects, but, like all the others, he was swayed by bombs that Mox reactors could make rather than the infinite power, lack of waste, and amazing efficiency of thorium... Plus, Thorium reactors don't give the US an excuse to invade, because they cant be used for enrichment..

Sometimes I'll see a car, or a computer, or hell even a coffee maker, and I'll think to myself "3000 years ago that was in the fucking ground. Some guy woke up one day, looked at a rock and started changing it. We eventually changed rocks so much that we could turn them in to this stuff" and even with the benefit of a White IQ it seems like some low level sorcery

I wonder what went through the head of the first guy that found copper and realized if he put it in a campfire and then let it get cold it would hold the shape. We talk about advancements in technology but copper weapons were the start of empire building. You take that away and we're all sitting in a forest eating squirrel bits

@CobaltSasquatch @egirlyuumimain @Dudebro @weknowwhygary @HonkHonkBoom @WandererUber @Hoss @sapphire According to some legends which may be true, Joseph of Arimathea was a tin trader, who travelled to Britain on a metals trade in the 1st Century. Though the Iron Age had been well underway for a milennium or so, bronze certainly never lost its basic usefulness - and hasn’t ever not been a pretty hot commodity

@KingOfWhiteAmerica @CobaltSasquatch @Dudebro @weknowwhygary @HonkHonkBoom @WandererUber @egirlyuumimain @Hoss Bronze is much easier to work and superior to pre-metallurgy iron in every single way except iron is fucking everywhere

that's why the Bronze Age Collapse happened, Greeks learned how to work iron and instead of the palace controlling who gets a nice sword, every swinging dick barbarian could bang out a shitty cast iron sword in their back yard
@sapphire @KingOfWhiteAmerica @CobaltSasquatch @Dudebro @weknowwhygary @WandererUber @egirlyuumimain @Hoss Yeah, Iron is everywhere, but it doesn't just fall out of rocks with heat like tin and copper.. There's the whole chemical process in smelting that likely took many lives to figure out..
