It's not dissonance. They're consistent and also quite clear. It's a very personal betrayal. They feel that the people (whom they know to be evil chuds) are the source of their personal pain, and that of those they care for.
This meme was catastrophically wrong despite it's popularity IMO. The vibe I now get from woke isn't "I'm using your morality against you" but more "can you be held to any standard of morality at all? since you clearly don't care about our safety and structures".
I'm not at all saying they're correct about who they attack or that they have any leg to stand on themselves, but I think I'm starting to understand the logic.

@gabriel @mangeurdenuage that meme isn't totally generalizable to a world view it was a specific rhetorical tactic used by non christians against christians quite knowingly, I don't think it's fake and I think it lives in parallel to what you're observing.
