I've been to a couple of Aldi's, but today I went to our new one for the first time. I know the drill, so I found a cardboard crate empty on the bread shelf. At checkout they are determined not to help you, it is so un-American feeling, but I slipped the cardboard into the cart when she turned to grab the items. To her credit she did about 3 scans per second, but then threw kombuchas upside down on purpose etc total mayhem, when she realized I tricked her into placing the items in the box. Lol.

8The one near me, is mostly self checkout, if you need help your register starts blinking and a phone starts ringing and you have wait until an actual employee shows up. It is a bit strange.
I refuse the ring up or bag my own items. I’m not an employee.
I guess you couldn't go to this store then, I rarely see an employee.
It is a strange store, it seems like it runs with so few people.

Self checkout is a blessing if I have to shop where niggers are employed

@jb @annakatarina @PoastalJen @mackya if i see a non at the counter i keep looking for other lines or go self checkout
Makes snse, you don't wanna be there forever.
But there's always that chance they're too dumb or lazy to check the bottom of the cart where the case of beer is...
@lord_nougat @PoastalJen @annakatarina @jb @mackya i also don't want them touching my stuff and bagging my things worse than a white with downs syndrome
That is a nice thing about self checkout you can organize it how you want it, chilled in one bag, dry goods in another and no one is touching it.
Of course to have so many self checkouts and no employee up front, you know you are in a very high White % area.
