@vriska @coolboymew the only reason they banned the porn was they couldn't fine-grained stop their actual homegrown child porn of trans kids getting groomed so they just banned everything.

@sun @coolboymew unlike every other social platform listed, tumblr self policed that. There was no "pedi" on tumblr and twitter is child porn central. the tumblr porn ban was to appease advertisers. The company did lose like95% of its value

@vriska @coolboymew there was a coordinated attack on all platforms by a group of state governors, they just blamed advertisers because leftists can't admit government might be the cause of something. same group killed craigslist personals that self-policed.

@sun @coolboymew my point is that even before a blanket ban we were murdering those people and running them off. More effectively than anyone has ever done it. Like I said, internet porn is inherently immoral

@vriska @coolboymew I am quite sure that you were not intersecting with that section of tumblr, it did leak out sometimes though. I absolutely do not believe that tumblr wanted it or monetized it but they absolutely couldn't effectively stop it without banning all porn. which yeah, tells you something.

"ban porn" is like, and bad in the same ways as, "ban drugs" (perspective of asexual who doesn't substances heh

@ageha @coolboymew @sun I'm not necessarily saying it should be blanket illegal but if I had a website I would ban it. To me it's pretty much the same thing as banning factory farms and meat consumption. It's a net positive in theory but impossible in practice
