While I did enjoy this book more than the first one, I really get the vibe that author really does not like any of the characters they have written.

@rain I find Douglas Adams hard to read

@sun @rain It is kind of unfair because he got imitated and gushed over so much that it wrung a lot of good out of the writing. It is eye-rolling now but for the time it was startlingly good

@sun @rain It's passé and lifeless now in the same way Star Wars is: all the goodness has been hugged out of it by fawning imitation

@ullard @rain I am not sure it's bad or cliche now or anything, I just always found it difficult to follow the flow and I wondered if others had that problem too.
