@scathach “engineer” or “architect” have always been extremely loaded metaphors, with the exception of maybe people who write machine code / firmware

still I’d rather use an app where someone actually designed and worked on than some machine generated bs

and the long term implication of slop on top of slop where no one knows how it works is gonna be a major problem when it’s no longer economically viable to burn through centuries of oil in a week

something I always mention is that Claude and other models are being used to target missiles and draw up war plans by Israel and the US… LLM’s have kileld 10’s of thousands of people in the last few years, for people who claim to care about war crimes n shit that alone should be enough to not it and boycott these companies.
