3the US vote results are forced to be stable (not able to diverge from bipartisanism, or essentially it is impossible to protest bipartisanism via a vote, which is a big ticking problem), and anything a government forces to be stable, will create so much internal pressure, that the end result will be times worse than not doing it at all (see also: price fixing [see also: poland doing a little gas price fixing communism RIGHT NOW that is spiking prices higher than in neighbouring countries]). One option may be shittier than the other, but right now even the possibility of a non-shitty option appearing is a practical impossibility. the fact that the US is p much split 50-50 on what are pretty much the same emulsified voting options, is also another reason for political pressure increase. Multiparty voting isnt going to FIX this issue, but it will ENABLE the possibility of atleast trying to fix some of the critical issues of the TOO stable US political system. pretty ironic to say that a political system is too stable, but a little thought later youll realize that it translates into stagnation at best, especially in these exciting times we live in.
really simplified but i dont know the topic deeper than this so any elaborations request will be met by "sorry im too unknowledged to further assume assumptions i have"

6@sun@shitposter.world @lebronjames75@shitposter.world @mushroom_soup@poa.st I'd love for somebody to do a deep dive comparison between the current USA political system and the USSR political system, because I feel like there's more similarities than most people would be comfortable with.
@sun@shitposter.world @mushroom_soup@poa.st @lebronjames75@shitposter.world I mean USSR kinda had that too?
But what really made me think about this was seeing Vance say that "Massy isn't voting along the party line [so he must go]", and that just hit massive USSR vibes for me.
