I did put it in writing but I just saw it wasn't clear from the screencap that the clanker literally compiled everything for me. The new version is not available on ubuntu, which is crazy because the other one is three years old.

I picked notcurses, which is as obscure as they come, to say the least. And it could not even get an image on screen, even with a literal example with an image on screen. Crazy.
I then hand-rolled it with the help of google chatbot and grok because I was too lazy to read documentation or code lol.

This week I asked the same questions of the latest local Qwens and they were able to tell me. I might take a stab at letting Gemma 4 code it for me, just to see how it does.
