@subnetter @kernow @scathach no, it just makes it clear you're a class warfare twit who thinks the solution is another revolution-- only this time it's gonna be *us* (for whatever "us" means) in charge!
@bajax @kernow @subnetter Marx's observations about class conflict are as true today as they were 150 years ago but Marxism as a broader ideology is a worthless relic. If there is a revolution (there probably won't be) it would need to be based on a completely new ideology that scraps the historical materialism drivel and takes into account the very different material conditions of the modern western working class
@bajax @kernow @subnetter It would probably look more like Luddism than Marxism given how much simmering anger there is to AI in and of itself
@scathach @kernow @subnetter I don't think social class alone is enough of a common identity to really unite people though.
@bajax @kernow @subnetter It definitely can be, though as we saw in the 20s and 30s with Fascism, Stalinism, and Hitlerism nationality is more compelling to a lot of people than the international proletariat
@bajax @subnetter @scathach you can't really make blanket statements about people from posting marxian thought
@bajax @kernow @subnetter @scathach allende didn't need a revolution but the USA certainly started one because of him
