@sun maybe they just want it as a fun thing for the conference , maybe every one doesn’t want to debate over the merits of saying nigger and open source drama about who was gay on Github

@technolyze bigger picture this is about conformity and sanitization, delegating authority in the hacker community and it has natural difficult contradictions
@sun defcon has been corporate for like 20 years at this point and dark fedi is unironically annoying if you just want to have fun with a diverse group of people that don’t want slurs screamed at them the second they post their opinions.

@sun @technolyze @Ree It's a made up term by someone on the other side of the fedi block bot, isn't it? Someone on the mastodon side that uses it to refer to people that are on the block bot list.
Alternately, someone on one of the trans instances told me to kill myself and was specific about how to go about it. It was a weird experience. Neither side is innocent in this.
