Doesn't help that if a boomer sees a kid fishing in a lake or riding a bike without a helmet they will call the cops. They will also bulldoze every playground in town because of "noise complaints". Then they bitch that kids don't go outside

@sickburnbro In the small town where I grew up the youth would gather at nights at the largish parking lot that bordered the local McDonalds. They did that, for, I dunno, years. Now if they were "yoots" instead of "youths" I can well imagine the McDonalds and neighboring strip mall would be boarded up and abandoned after a month.
@sickburnbro That’s if your town even has a mall. Malls had the triple whammy of Covid, diversity, and e-commerce.
