@sickburnbro Rendering a text into reasonably colloquial English is quite important though, if you focus too hard on accurately representing the source material you end up with something like the awful, stilted classics-esse that plagues modern translations of classical texts; you're much better off learning Greek and Latin than suffering through those overly-literal garbage translations

Effective translation, especially of literature, always involves rewriting the source text to some degree
