Tipping is out of control and I say that as a person that used to work food service. There is a gas station here in town that has a tip jar. What possible fucking service could a gas station cashier provide that I would think "Wow that was above and beyond, better drop them a fiver"
@CobaltSasquatch @Just_Johnny we don't get out of it until we all decide as a group to stop tipping. Make these companies pay the difference or make waitstaff quit en masse, either restaurants will go out of business or they'll figure it out

4Its even worse than most people realize. They throw that 2.13 an hour at you and then fail to mention thats only how much they make if they get enough tips to make more. If they don't get enough tips to bring that to minimum wage they're supposed to report it and the restaurant is supposed to bring it to minimum wage
@CobaltSasquatch @Just_Johnny to be fair if I were a conniving boomer I'd claim that someone consistently not hitting min from tips was underperforming according to customers and fire them
They do. I've literally never worked a food service job where they wouldn't fire you for reporting less than minimum wage in tips lol
I don't know how more people don't murder their bosses.
