@graf @peepeepoopoocahcah1 they can either be contact mines or detect the change in magnetic flux of a ship passing by. Basically that thing that makes magnets point at big pieces of metal and not just at north, large ferromagnetic objects disturb the magnetic field in a detectable way. It's like 100 year old tech tbh.
