there's a part of me that's sympathetic to the computer toucher impulse to fix the internet by simply engineering a better one, but it always feels like everyone expects the decentralization aspect of something to be its selling point and that effectively everyone ends up forgetting that like, your users don't care how the software is hosted, and ideally they shouldn't need to think about it. if you want to build a better internet make cool shit people will want to use and that happens to be designed with decentralization in mind. computer touchers always have this shit backwards.
