@scathach @shibao reminder that they didn't call 1 and 2 "world wars" until the conflicts had gone on for some time and spread across the globe. if the Iran situation isn't resolved quickly we're probably headed towards another world war because this is exactly what the US geopolitical strategy that they themselves released at the end of last year is effectively calling for.
@sun thanks, yeah I would like at some point to write a more thorough piece specifically focused on things I think could be done to improve fedi (esp ideas I've had that are more technical) but this was already long and bordering on disjointed rambling. DNS was one thing I thought of as well but that's a really hard problem to solve without effectively doing a netsplit and using/making something like opennic lmao
