I remember when I was like 8 I came home from communist indoctrination and over the dinner table told my parents the land our house was on was stolen and we should give it back. They just lolled at me which inoculated me against that kind of thing forever.

School also had me in terror of global warming like it was going to kill everyone in the very immediate future. This was the era of “An inconvenient Truth” and “The Day After Tomorrow"
