@icedquinn @genmaicha technically they will never violate democratic principles as those principles are done with positive law and can be changed at a whim to "defend democracy".

it's precisely what they are planning to do now in germany. just one example, since the start of the FRG, the prosecution was controlled by the ministry of interior. now that afd MIGHT get absolute majority in a state, they want to change this ASAP.

@icedquinn @genmaicha the start of this legislative period was already a giant middle finger to the voters: in the last sessions before the new parliament was in power they fast tracked a 500 billion debt packet, because the new parliament wouldn't have the required majority. of course the promise by merz was to not make any new debt etc.

these methods are how politics are now the rule. it's almost more common now to find some loophole and use it, than to use the well trodden path.
