@manfromhuh it's what really irritates me about apocalyptic accelerationists and doomers, etcetera.. The world continued after Rome fell, it's capable of stable periods and beauty, and when we're faced with the need to make meaningful decisions, it's obviously important to. The people who don't are spiritual negros, in that, beyond their life they can't find meaning; such deep selfishness and detachment. For the love of God, care.

@f0x it's almost as if the concept of [guess what] is constructed, as we can see in the case of the Irish, Italians, German, etc. immigrants that were pressured to assimilate into a manufactured cultural identity
@subnetter yeah, it's exactly this. There's a difference between functional cohesion of populations sociologically and monoculture. My opinions on this are rarely voiced (I am only ever approached for discussion about such by retarded poasties and ncdoomers/feds, who would rather see a woman with a jewish surname burn than see a multi billion dollar company get fucked. It's real hard to have actual discussions with conscious lifeforms, even here.)

@subnetter @f0x @syzygy @mischievoustomato my grandmas both got big into genealogy and we're mostly Scottish and English, for like 300 years. I'm so white it's not even funny
@pwm @f0x @syzygy @mischievoustomato I mean I think the best way to get an accurate assessment of where you're from is actual history records to trace back genealogy. I've heard those DNA kits are a bit wishy washy and inaccurate even when used on pets, and for someone with my ancestry it wouldn't benefit me, only them, to archive and bank my ancestral genetic markers. I'm good, there's not a lot of info on people from my region anyways.
Unfortunately, there are many mysteries in my family I will likely never have the answers to. I only learned that my abuelo was a child slave after he passed, and then I realized that his "brothers" were not biologically related to him at all, which makes sense in retrospect. No way to chase down any sort of records, I would have to ask the other side of my family. All I know is that one of my grandfather's was full Spaniard (I'm assuming), and yes, the overwhelming majority of women in my family were native women who were kidnapped or sold off. They still don't speak badly of their late husbands.
