in games they only fill out the details you can actually see-- anything beyond is unnecessary. it feels like if I go outside, the loading zone to the rest of the world isn't gonna trigger and I'm just gonna walk out into the void. see the flat scenery props outside my windows. wind, traffic and dogs barking outside seem like a looping recording played by an ambient noise generator.
