i love giving out cds and dvds of music and anime.
thumb drive doesnt have the same flavor.

Never pick up a used USB you found on the street.

such a good medium when thy first started making em.
the lasers were really good quality and could read thru any surface scratches that did happen. until bluray, the lasers and cd quality were so poor a lightly scratched cd was unreadable.

My 486dx2/66 had a tape drive.

Had to do a recovery there like 10 years ago. Crazy, the software works as the day it was distributed complete with the HD radio shit (track titles, station names, etc)

ive got one of techniques first cd players. came with a few sampler cds. cds had a thicker layer of plastic and the medium was silver.
expensive, but built well and to last. back when they were selling it as the "forever" storage media.

I thought I was such hot shit back then. I still remember the night I installed the Windows Chicago Beta (win95 test release). I was like... you other fuckers are living in the stone age. Then I played doom just like before I installed it.
