Jon Blow showed Elon talking this matter (in one of his presentations about how his quest to make a good video game will save humanity from extinction) and the latter said something about how technological progress is taken for granted but it's not actually true and he illustrates the point with the space program, which went from putting people on the moon to having to ask the Russians to transport cargo to LEO. He said it's not a guarantee that humans will become spacefaring, if this is the trajectory. This stuck with me.

Even the thing I dislike most he did better than anyone else. Screens in cars. They put games on the screens. I don't want that feature, but have you ever used any other car entertainment system? that shit is laggy just playing a song off your phone. Tesla stunted on their head by running 3D games. It's probably the best infotainment system that exists (haven't tried it) even though touch screens suck ass
i hated the screen in the tesla. it may have better hardware, but the layout is turbo ass. it screams that they're trying to make the car feel like a cell phone when i need to access vital functions for the car. like the lights, which is done through the damned screen
also the build quality on the car is miserable. i'd much rather drive a hyundai ev, or even those crappy ford mustang evs
