@sun most people could get away with cheap $300-$400 windows laptops
I did that during uni and had no problems apart from storage but that was a me problem

Tbh computers have gotten better
My 7 year old laptop could be used for development just fine (basic development)
Obviously if you’re doing heavy tasks on it like generating images or editing videos you’re not gonna get this one.
But for the vast majority it’s good.
Great even considering it’s a Mac (battery life wise)
