You may or may not remember this, but it was FUNNY AF. To me back then anyway...these are a couple of the most talented jews in entertainment of all time.
Just sayin'...obviously, Carl's son was a huge POS. Remember when politics was rarely injected into entertainment? I do. The world was a better place back then.
I'll give Mel Brooks this: he was never truly subversive as a rule. He took shots at jews as much as he did anyone else, and never really made anyone look that bad.

Also, he made Nazis fun and engaging, which was weird.
@KingOfWhiteAmerica @Humpleupagus @penguin @DMA @Dagnar @Xenophon @matty @adequate @graf @reallyangry you're working under the impression that it's impossible for me to have genuinely liked the movie and therefore what i feel must be something akin to Stockholm syndrome. i'm telling you that there's no reason i would hesitate to say if i had disliked the movie. i know it's hard to believe that someone might have a different opinion on something than you do but do at least try, 'everyone actually agrees with all my opinions and the ones that say they don't are actually lying!' is such a boorish position to hold
