Look, I'm not going to say its bad but its not good. Like I could understand eating it if you were being relentlessly bombarded by the luftwaffe but basically any other time you've got better options

Exactly this. I know a guy that just spreads butter on saltine crackers and eats them. I know deep in my heart there is a sad reason he likes it

Up until the last 80 years or so the majority of the peasant diet was bread (real bread, not those loaves of sponge from walmart)
