It takes a lot of sustained BS for me to consider blocking someone on fedi. Mute for a few days, sure. Block entirely, very rare. But looking at the number of people from the top 5 instances who've earned a place on that list, there's a pretty clear pattern.

Up til a couple weeks ago I had no one blocked either (from several years of being on dark-fedi). But since finally resorting to that I've noticed a generally much nicer experience. No more lobotomised rats shitting up the place on a regular basis. For a small sacrifice of the very occasional amusing meme, it's a worthwhile trade off. Ngl.
