I get the sense that Kharg Island may be misdirection and they might actually be positioning to attack the Houthis. If they don't first secure Bab al-Mandab - they'll get choked off undergoing any operation involving Hormuz.
Kharg is absolutely retarded from a military standpoint. But supposedly it's Trump's hobby horse since like the 90s.
Regardless of what the real target is, any troop concentrations will be hit by missiles. I don't know how they are expecting to conduct any ground operations in the region.
