@binkle @Hoss Rumor has it they cut mobs (seen in early trailers) and the player count to 3v3 because of shitty UE5 performance/lack of optimisation.

I'm not even dissing Unreal, I'm sure devs are just as capable of building something fun on top of it as Unity or anything else. Game engines are like the wheel, no need to reinvent it from scratch, but it also enables retards to build a trash cart on top of those wheels.

I don't know much about the most current iteration of Unreal, but I do know that many great games were built on prior versions.

My biggest complaint is we thought we would be playing native 4k games at this point but instead its upscaled 360p to 4k.

AAA devs are lazy and suffer from "too many cooks" syndrome, I prefer to blame them rather than the tools they use.
