@vitalis I consider dating apps to be filtering tools. As a Catholic, you have the ability to use Catholic dating websites, which filter out the fodder (non-Catholics). But they are just to open the door. It is still up to you to meet and develop.

Typically, we used to find our mates at Mass. That is, sadly, no longer reliable as it used to be.

@vitalis

My guess is that more than 50% of the people on dating apps are fake profiles or robots designed to get people to sign up because they think there are more people than there are and that in addition to those fakes AI robots created scam accounts

My guees is that they worked in some year before 2020 AD and stopped working in some year after 2020 AD but I do not know when

Some people suggested creating a facebook account or other website for yourself and using ads to attract dates

f(Re: Q) = idk.

I'm with you, for the most part. I try to recommend to people to only ask people you've met in real life. Such as work or sports/music events, or religious,... something they already have an idea of a personal connection.

The opposite side is, busy life or remote. I can see people being lonely, in circumstances.

I have seen bad things happen to people who use them (worst outcome type), and TV shows show they aren't great.

Nope, anything classified as a "woman" is bait for the whales called "men" to spend money on the service.

Realistically, if you can meet someone within a week or two, it can work. Anything beyond that will have you scrolling the same profiles and being ghosted or dealing with e-whores.

It's a little better if you live closer to a really high population area, but watch the "last login" time and distance. If those go wild, the site ran out of real women in your area.
