I took the girls to a park. When I parked the car there was this young woman who had very good form, running barefoot through the grass. I was curious so I asked, what does that give you? She said it is really good for the balls of the feet and helping connect you to the ground when you run.

So I took off my shoes and took the girls for a brisk walk through the grass barefoot.

I havent wanted to share anything because I did not want to share pain or hurt. I wanted to share beauty and life.

This morning, in the mist on the driveway of my Airbnb, four deer were just there, enjoying the side-of-road grass, and I felt this great moment of connection. Brief, fleeting. The feeling of sharing a space. Two young bucks and two young does. Only one of the does fled.

Met a man today who has been with his church his entire life something like 80 years and he was so happy so happy to tell me all his stories. Old men are the best.
