Sadly, they'll likely not see this post because they're mastodon.social (the heavy handed censorious shithole of a server that has singlehandedly made the Fediverse crap and unable to compete with X meaningfully)
@apps also, editing a post seems to be dependent on whether the server supports it or not. The apps can only copy the content into compose field and delete the original post so you can make your changes and post again. But, you'll essentially be creating a new post.
Soapbox servers have the option to actually edit the original post without deleting it, but it seems you can only do it on a browser
