@feld a bunch of the civil rights stuff ended up getting used against people who fought for them, much later, like anti-mask laws. who could have ever predicted laws would get misused by the government
@feld at the same time, even civil disobedience is knowingly breaking the law. kind of the point of it is breaking the law so I think a lot of people since say, mlk only understand the motions not the actual point of what they're doing. yeah, you will be arrested. that is the point.
