@ube i dunno i stopped paying any attention to the man when he stood down for trump. i stopped even devils advocating anything GOP related when dan patrick put weed bans over childrens lives in texas.

@sun @icedquinn @vriska @ube no the online right actually hates him for being Indian and they feel if he wins he's going to let Indians mass migrate to the USA, or they make jokes about his strength (him being unable to lift the kid).
Or they see him as everything wrong with the GOP in one person because he really is, he's a billionaire who scams people, is rich, calls Americans lazy compared to immigrants, and there's theories that "he'll just import more Indians and get it rubber stamped by the GOP".
This isn't astroturfing, he's genuinely unpopular bipartisan wise.

2@sun @icedquinn @vriska @ube the other thing is Ohio is a reddish state, his primary opponent was basically "the online right" as a person who made a lot of dumb mistakes, and then he's up against another COVID Karen who shut stuff down during that time. Vivek, by merits of being Vivek, has managed to piss that away.
