23My laptop keyboard has lost basically its entire top row so I've started bringing around a mechanical Bluetooth keyboard made of solid aluminum. Perhaps you be autistic like me.
(my dad used to work for IBM and I used to be able to get these keyboards for free from him, oh how I miss my klackety keyboard, the new ones that try to be klackety are never quite the same
I attached a picture of my Keychron Q6, which is aluminum with blue switches and heavy as fuck and feels quite comfortable.
That one looks like it goes hard.
I have a tactical solid milled aluminium keyboard as well just in case someone thinks they're gonna come up on me
I bought graf's aluminum keyboard as soon as he showed it to me and it is honestly the best non-DIN-connector keyboard I've ever had. But the KEYCAPS ARE STILL TOO LIGHT.
lol it does sound like we share the same keyboard autism ![]()
I'm daily driving a ducky one 3 tkl with cherry blue switches but if i have guests over sometimes I'll switch to the aluminum one because it's got pudding switches or whatever the fuck they are called and they're not as loud so I can make an idiot of myself online and it doesn't keep anybody awake
Last time I was at graf's place I heard him typing on the aluminum keyboard while I was asleep and I was like "what the fuck is that? oh right I know what that is."
(...but mine were free, and I'm sure this is very expensive
One of my keyboards has that same sort of feel except the actual keycaps are a bit too light. The rest are just gamer trash; better than non-mechanical keyboards but not as good as the real thing.
And just to top it off, it had no numpad
@scenesbycolleen @adequate @yockeypuck power word: “Cherry Keyboard”

I forget exactly which switch it is, but there is one that they make that does a pretty good job of replicating the old IBM clicky switches
I started reading this and then my brain just drifted to "my uncle works for Nintendo" and I'm now fully aware of how fried my entire grey matter is
Still using this lad after 20 years.
Will migrate to a bepo typmatrix 2030 in the future when possible (been saying that for 10 years).
Do you have a dongle setup for converting it from PS/2 to USB?
