Gotta take the long one now, this is an interesting result
@histoire3 @sampler @MK2boogaloo I did 240 for mine and the results of the long test are pretty solid/accurate at least for me. ideological label is pretty in-line and the figure list is very accurate too save for Musk. Would definitely recommend it if you have test autism.
@sicp @eighthbell @MK2boogaloo @histoire3 @sampler I had basically the same answers as @f0x, it says we are libertarian militarists. (I hated the test, though, I feel like the questions were all pretty slanted towards minor tweaks to the status quo and a bad mix of practical questions versus philosophical questions and there was no question that was like "What government?" Nobody making these quizzes has heard of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Item_response_theory and I will punch them with both of my hands at the same time.)
@p @f0x @MK2boogaloo @eighthbell @sicp @histoire3 I felt the same way. The result it gave me is somewhat accurate but a lot of the questions it asked me assumed that I wanted an extension of the status quo. There's not really any good quiz for stuff like this online, same reason that we give people essay questions in philosophy class instead of multiple choice quizzes

@sampler @p @MK2boogaloo @eighthbell @f0x @histoire3 Fwiw I think it does a better job than similar tests separating questions into different axes like liberty/nationalism/autocracy/federalism where a lot of ones I've done before would conflate them, maybe that's why it gives better answers. Irrelevant status quo bullshit could maybe be an option, if abortion or gay marriage is an important part of your politics you can choose to answer questions about it but otherwise I'd like to be able to say "I don't care about these classes of questions".
@sicp @sampler @MK2boogaloo @eighthbell @f0x @histoire3 Yeah, like, "Should the state support gay marriage?" and most quizzes conflate "What I will do", "What I approve of", and "What I think the state should prevent", and ignore the "The entire government should stop bothering with marriage".
