A separate invite feature less helpful but possibly desirable.

dungeon crawler through a thread, each post a room, each poster a creature/trap/npc etc. opportunities to incorporate things like likes on posts, reply count, repeats etc to alter stats or perhaps seed rng
Big accounts more likely to generate a boss etc (obv vulnerable to forgery but)
Conceptually the replies form a tree that you could explore
"Flame War" or similar.
