Solar energy isn't renewable because the sun will eventually burn out. Also all energy is really just solar energy because oil and gas is simply the stored sunlight gifted to us by Amun Ra over billions of years and sequestered through the biomass of the various creatures he lovingly made for us.

@augustus entropy always increases so no energy source is renewable and we shouldn't really try to do anything since the heat death of the universe is inevitable
