@Marakus @mushroom_soup If I remember correctly, this effect disappears when the women know the guys they're rating. Women are only harsh on strangers and will rate the men they know on the same bell curve as how men rate all women.
I'd like to see actual data, because this just sounds like foid cope.

I found research that repeated exposure increases attraction in general (but nothing related to how the effect might be different in women vs men) and a paper in 2007 that found the inclusion of personality information next to a photo influences physical attractiveness rating more strongly in women (attachment 2-3). A 2003 paper put a bunch of college men and women in the same room and had them rate themselves and each other and the average for men and women was very close (attachment 4). Granted, this was in 2003 and before the invention of the iPhone.
TLDR ban women from the internet to fix attractiveness between sexes.
