@coolboymew @sun @lain @ooignignoktoo there's a new soft mod for 360. If they are overheating it could be something really simple like dust or a bad fan. I think the soft mod is going to drive demand for 360s. I want to mod mine soon but I haven't yet. There's a community version of rock band 3 that looks really cool.
@sun @Rocket @lain Yeah pretty sure @ooignignoktoo has repaired a few like that. It would be a shame to throw them away

I've RGH3 modded a OG Xbox 360 Phat Falcon V2 and a Corona V3 Xbox 360 S. The corona v3 360 S was a pain because Microsoft added an anti-tamper measure by removing the traces on the motherboard for easy access to the post fix pin needed for the RGH3 mod. Someone made a post fix adapter that rebuilds the trace by running a pogo pin under the cpu It can be a bit finnicky but I got it to work. I got paid for that one and I had to work on an OG xbox for that same kid who tried to DIY install the socket for an aladdin modchip and rebuild the traces for the LPT but ended up bridging a bunch of ports and left flux everywhere. Was a pain to clean but I cleaned it up and fixed it for the guy. been about 2 years now and I haven't heard anything back about complaints so I'd say the work was solid.
