The single people on here aren't single because of themselves. The typical fedi user† is charming, funny, handsome, (sometimes) beautiful and (sometimes) intelligent. It's a market problem, namely being a market of 1 with a totally insular hobby. You need to branch out and find related yet social version of computing. Like a bonsai club or something.

@kernow I'm terminally single because I'm shy and have trust issues and meet someone I like enough to want to get close to and build trust with like once or twice a decade at this rate

And they're always either hundreds of miles away or we get to know each other right before one of us needs to move

@subnetter @kernow @dagda No I'm happy for you if it works out, and furthermore believe we oughtn't to give up on these things.
I would only not look on the fedi because inevitably it would be an ldr and I have a personal policy against those (some exceptions but not realistic ones).
Maybe I'll eat my words one day but...
All I do is work anyway, plus I'm nocturnal because night shift.
