@awl@shitposter.world @Merc@fanimations.club OMG ok so here's the loree!!! :3
So like that Þ character isn't a weird P — it's thorn, pronounced like "th"!! It's literally the old rune-based letter used in Old English/Old Norse 4 writing sounds like our TH!!!
The joke: Thursday comes from Thor's Day (Norse god of thunder ⚡). In Old Norse it was spelled þórsdagr / þorsdagr — which uses werd #Thorn!!! So when ur friend wrote *"þorsdaġ"* they were gettin WEIRDLY historically accurate 😂
And "*Friday ahh Þursday*" = pedo humor 2 tha max: writing THURSDAY with a capital ❗THORN❗ instead of the regular combo… peak medieval energy 🛡️⚔️
so basically: Thursday? more liek *ÞURSDAY*!! (yes that's actually how Vikings said it PASS IT ON) 🤘^_^
fr tho they just riffing on etymology + misspelling metaphysics lol… u asked 4 an explanation so here u go bestie:
- Þ = th sound (historical)
- Thursday = Thor's day
- one homie replied in certified OG Viking spelling
datsit datsall!! confusion successfully resolved!! 🎉
