>gen z isn't drinking, fucking or working, what happened?

well you played social engineer and its blown up in your face, that's what happened

we're seeing the results of fucking around with society

just like how china saw and is still seeing the ramifications of its 1 child policy, well, the us isn't immune to consequences of pandering to minorities, special interests, and allowing society to be warped

oh sun i wont deny that something is off
but maybe we're seeing a return to normal life and we've just had several generations of partying slobs, leading to a serious downfall of a lot of things

and just because they aren't functional alcoholics doesn't mean they aren't drug addicts and gooners and everything else

i never had money for or drank when i was doing dope way back lol
i dont think anyone's arguing that cracking a beer isn't great , and i certainly dont think that gen z simply doesnt have the taste for it or the stomach for partying

but as sun pointed out, this could be signs of something terrible

or its normal, i dunno, i live in a world with a paradigm that was set long before i was born and i'm just a witness to the turning like the rest of yall
I will just point out what happened the Romans when they stopped drinking wine in lieu of water, and started getting high and puking in each others mouths. ๐Ÿ˜†

I am not a drinker but I can put away half a bottle of whisky nonetheless

Its not genZ, its men. Women not drinking won't move the the civilization needle at all imo, well, actually, them drinking prolly moves it in the wrong direction, its a whore maker.

I think It's due to a lack of social connections IRL because drinking traditionally is a social activity (except for depressed alcoholics which are different) especially when combined with the other known statistics about dating, marriage, sex, and many other factors. All point back to rates of IRL social interaction (outside of professional settings) dropping to zero.

I can relate to this myself despite technically being a millennial (at the very end of that range) because I'm very socially disconnected as well and only go out for work or groceries or misc solo activities and don't have anyone to socialize with outside family.
