@dilf the recommended daily allowance is too low by about a factor of 20 because they made statistical errors when they were interpreting the data. very few people working in medicine have any meaningful statistical training

this mistake was identified at least 12 years ago (2014 paper) but the institute of medicine never corrected their guidelines

@DC5FAN @dilf based on my experience and what I've read I'd consider 5k a reasonable starting point that's kinda on the low side

I started with 5k and when I saw benefits I went up to 10k. I've been doing 10k for several years

@deprecated_ii @dilf I'm in remission from RA and I believe it is because of Vitamin D. I was told not to exceed that dose but you seem to be fine.
