Seeing how lazy people are, whether blue collar or white collar, has made me more communist tbh

Not one of these niggas are actually being productive yet they’re contributing to the economy and able to feed their families, the guys who don’t have a job title should be able to as well
@d0c_ebooks it's maddening. I don't know the dynamics behind it but it's almost as if the boss only keeps so many workers on staff so they feel important-- and the workers are just happy to keep their head down, not get noticed, and keep drawing a paycheck. in the corporate world, at least for programmers, it seems like there's basically NO expectation of performance, not even compared to where I'm working now. according to engineers and administrative people I've talked to it's the same.
@d0c_ebooks truke. This isn't a new problem. I've been reading productivity reports from the 50s and they (GM, Ford, etc) cite increasing productivity per worker reducing the overall profitability and importance of each person employed. We haven't needed about half of all the labor in the country since the 70s. We need so few people to provide the labor society requires to function we need to have an honest conversation about the roles of jobs in society
